About PH Vocal Studios:
PH Vocal Studios is a specialist voice studio in Sydney, dedicated to nurturing professional and pre-professional young performers. Led by sought-after vocal coach Prudence Holloway, the studio supports children and adolescents working across musical theatre, opera, film and television.
Prudence’s students have gained entry into leading performing arts institutions including The Central School, NIDA, WAAPA, The Conservatorium of Music, Newtown Performing Arts High School, McDonald College and AIM. Her students have also appeared in major productions with Opera Australia—Tosca, Turandot, Carmen, La Bohème, Hansel & Gretel—as well as large-scale commercial musicals such as Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Matilda, Kinky Boots, Frozen, MJ The Musical, Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat, The Wedding Singer, School of Rock, Billy Elliot, Tina Turner The Musical, Elvis, and Annie.
The studio provides both technical and wellbeing support to help young singers meet the demands of professional performance environments. With a strong focus on vocal health and sustainable technique, Prudence creates tailored vocal plans and collaborates with musical directors to protect her students’ voices. She also works with a trusted network of ENTs, speech pathologists and physiotherapists should any vocal issues arise.
About Prudence:
Prudence Holloway is a voice teacher, performer and actor whose teaching approach combines evidence-based vocal technique with industry experience. She is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (Bachelor of Music - Voice), has completed postgraduate studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (GradDip Pedagogy) and three years of acting training in the Meisner Technique.
Prudence’s approach to vocal training and health concentrates on the fundamentals of technique such as correct breathing, singing free of tension and safe belting. These foundations are applied to a range of genres including Classical, Contemporary, Jazz and Musical Theatre. Prudence’s approach is practical, structured and student-focused, aiming to support young singers in building strong, sustainable technique and confidence in their performance skills.
